DELICIOUS BURGERS • FREE COCKTAILS • GUEST SPEAKER
Join us for a complimentary burger and a cocktail plus a short presentation by Madrid-based journalist and cocktail writer François Monti.
François Monti has contributed to international publications such as Imbibe, Drinks International, Punch and Whisky Magazine. He is the author of three books, including ‘Prohibitions’, a journey through the Gin Craze in the UK, the American prohibition and the absinthe ban in France.
After the WHO-organised 17th WCTOH conference called “for governments to develop a plan by 2021 for phasing out the sales of tobacco products”, François Monti will speak about the lessons learned from the prohibition of alcohol products in the US and Europe and how it relates to today’s war on alcohol, tobacco and, increasingly, food. The presentation will be followed by a vigorous and stimulating debate among attendees on the issue.
