Forest EU manifesto launch – 20 June 2017

The ten-page document tackles a number of burning issues and is subtitled #SmokersAreCitizensToo.

EU countries are among the most regulated places on earth in which to smoke. Smokers have generally accepted the many restrictions and punitive measures with good grace, but enough is enough.

Forest EU is inviting journalists to the launch of its Manifesto, subtitled #SmokersAreCitizensToo.

The ten-page document designed the size of a packet of cigarettes tackles a number of issues like smoking bans, plain packaging, excessive taxation and youth education.

  • Where: Forest EU office, Square de Meeûs 35, 1000 Brussels (8th floor)
  • When: Tuesday 20 June 2017, 12am-1pm

A light lunch and drinks will be served and free-wifi will be available.

All journalists are welcome but places are limited. Please send an email to contact@forestonline.eu to register.

As an advocacy campaign, Forest EU is informing consumers about issues that affect them in the European Union and engages with stakeholders so the views of informed adults are taken into account within the EU’s decision-making process.
